On Tuesday 11 November 2025, the School communtiy gathered in solemn unity around the Quad to mark Remembrance Day - a time to honour the courage, sacrifice, and eduring legacy of those who served in conflict. Our community stood together in silence; their thoughts turned to the past and the freedoms secured by others' bravery.
The service, led by Reverend Moloney, was deeply moving. Supported by the CCF Guard of Honour, the Act of Remembrace brought a profound stillness to the heart of the School. A wreath was laid at the war memorial by Alex Tate, The Head, with additional tributes from School Captains Bella and Freddie, and Ben Webb, Teacher of English, representing our Old Johnian Community.
After the visual impact of last year, and thakns to the generosity of The Royal British Legion, the Quad once again become home to a striking field of remembrance with wooden poppy crosses placed by pupils and staff.
Thanks to our St John's community, we were able to raise over £1,500 for The Royal British Legion, and we are grateful to all those who contributed.
