The evening commenced with tours led by current Lower Sixth students and, as other guests arrived for welcome drinks, we were treated to a beautiful sunset, casting pale pink light across the cloisters.
The OJ Dinner is always a special occasion as it brings together alumni alongside former and current staff, to reconnect with old friends and form new connections. It was wonderful to see the so much interaction between different year groups, and the reunions of the Class of 2001, the 10th Anniversary of the Rosslyn Park 7s-winning team, the Eagle Community Holiday, all amongst the fantastic crowd.
Guests enjoyed a three-course meal and heard from The Head, Alex Tate, in what will be his final OJ Dinner as Head before moving to Canada in July 2027. He spoke about the importance of reestablishing the School's connection with its OJ community after a period of inactivity, and how a thriving alumni community could be among the most meaningful legacies he leaves at St John's.
Please do check out the Gallery page to see photos of the evening, and let us know if you see anyone you recognise!
We very much look forward to welcoming more OJs to various events in the future. To stay up to date with upcoming opportunities, please visit our Events page.
